TYNGSBOROUGH PD SWITCHES TO @HOME TESTING PROCESS NOV. 16-20TH

ANNOUNCING: “@HOME TESTING” from Police Exam Solutions


We are pleased to announce the Tyngsborough PD will be conducting their entry exam 2020 through our @Home Testing process during the week of November 16th-20th. The availability of exam sessions will be determined based on the total number of enrolled candidates once the registration process closes on November 11th. 

NOTE: Once registered, be on the lookout for your email containing the @Home Testing instructions and invitation to book your session. YOU WILL RECEIVE THIS NO LATER THAN NOV. 11th. If you do not receive your email, you must contact our office ASAP as all testing sessions must be booked by November 12th. Since some ISP's (Internet Service Providers) may send our emails to Spam/Junk, you are responsible for making sure you get all the necessary correspondence to set up your remote session.


Your exam will be scheduled to occur in one of several sessions over mulitple days during the week of Nov. 16 - Nov. 20, 2020. As soon as the Tyngsborough PD session dates are available, you will receive instructions and an invitation to book your exam.


A few guidelines and requirement necessary for your @Home Testing participation:

  • You MUST meet minimum requirements for accepted hardware.  On the date of your test, you will be required to have 2 devices:

    • A mobile smartphone or table, and

    • A desktop or laptop PC running Windows 7 or later. 


Currently, the in-home testing is only available for Windows PC’s. The Testing Application is not compatible with Apple Macintosh’s or Google Chromebook’s. If you do not have access to a Windows PC, we suggest you borrow or rent one for the day of your exam.

  • The at home testing sessions are 2 hours and 30 minutes long. The entire exam must be completed in one session. We will be hosting a number of sessions across a multiple days during November 16-20, 2020. Typically, we will be offering two sessions per day: one in the morning (9:30am EST), and another in the afternoon (2:00pm EST). You will receive an invitation to reserve the test date and time that best suits your schedule from the choices available. We do not offer additional make-up dates/times, nor are weekend sessions available.

  • At this time, we are pleased to announce we are now accepting score transfers. To be eligible for this benefit, you must have received a PES score from any of our exams occurring after 10.1.19. To read more about the specifics of Score Transfers, as well as instructions on the process, please visit our FAQ's found on our website.

  • You must complete your PPI essay component 5 days before your scheduled exam. If you do not fulfill this requirement, you will be disqualified and NOT permitted to participate in the exam. We advise you complete this as soon as possible to avoid this situation. You can access your portal by visiting http://tyngsborough.ppi-portal.com, and logging in with your email and password.
