Welcome to the
Somerset Police Department

Thank you for your interest in the Somerset Police Department.  As the Chief of Police of the Town of Somerset, I take pride in the continued commitment of our officers to collaborate with the community, in not only the prevention and reduction of crime but in the formation of partnerships.  We are constantly focused on providing service to the citizens of our town. The Somerset Police Department values honesty, integrity, professionalism, and fairness.

The Somerset Police Department is looking to add 10 reserve officers from the 2021 newly established candidate list. From this pool of candidates at least two will be made full-time. The recruitment process will begin once the eligible candidate list is furnished.  The Somerset Police Department will maintain the 2021 list for two years, at which point a new test will be administered.

As part of our commitment to keeping everyone healthy during the pandemic, the Somerset PD has opted to host the April exam via the PES @Home Testing process. If you would like to be part of a great team please consider registering for our exam.  We look forward to your participation in our exam.
